OS DESAFIOS DA ATENÇÃO FARMACÊUTICA NAS DROGARIAS
IMPACTOS NA PROMOÇÃO DO USO RACIONAL DE MEDICAMENTOS
Abstract
This quantitative and descriptive study aimed to analyze the challenges of pharmaceutical care in community pharmacies and its contribution to promoting the rational use of medicines, evaluating the practices and perceptions of professionals. The research was conducted using an online questionnaire with 31 pharmacists. As results, 100% of the participants stated that they provide pharmaceutical care and recognized its importance for patient safety and the rational use of drugs. Additionally, 96.77% reported providing direct care, patient guidance, and clinical services. However, an excessive administrative workload was identified by 93.55% as the main barrier, and all participants indicated that workload interferes with the quality of care. It is concluded that, despite a strong commitment to clinical practice, organizational overload limits the pharmacist's role, reinforcing the need to restructure the workflow.
