Abstract

Abstract: In this article, we propose to understand the historical trajectory that enabled the opening of the philosophy of difference to research in philosophy of education in Brazil. The objective is to understand the conditions under which the entry of this new philosophical perspective impacted educational productions and discussions in Brazil and began to gain visibility. To accomplish this work, we will begin with a brief distinction between the philosophy of representation and the philosophy of difference, highlighting the particularities of each approach. Next, we will address the historical process that enabled the incorporation of the philosophy of difference into educational events, which began to signal the emergence of a new mode of reflection on education—that is, the presence of difference in educational debates. Finally, we will reflect on the implications of each current addressed in the educational context. The theoretical basis for this work will be Gilles Deleuze and authors who study and connect the philosophy of difference and education. The article is a bibliographical study, with readings and research in the aforementioned field of Philosophy of Education.
